Academic background

Mr.M.Karthikeyan is with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering since March 2014, as an Assistant Professor at Coimbatore Institute of Technology, Coimbatore, India. He started his career as a lecturer and he served as a teaching faculty in other institutions since 2009. He also works with part modeling and design software tools in product designing and analyzing.

Mr.M.Karthikeyan is gradu3ated as a Mechanical Engineer from SSM College of Engineering, Namakkal in 2006, and specialized in Manufacturing Engineering for his post-graduation from Government college of Technology, Coimbatore in 2009. He is pursuing his doctoral research in the field of friction surfacing with non-ferrous metals.

He has attended many conferences, seminars, symposia, workshops and short term courses at National level. He is a member of Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE).


Presented paper in 69th Annual Technical Meeting of the Indian Institute of Metals on New Horizons in Materials Processing and Applications titled “Study and Characterisation of Friction Surfaced Coating of Stainless Steel Over Low Carbon Steel.organized by IIM Kharagpur, IIM Coimbatore held on 13th – 15th November 2015.
