Dr.Marimuthu Krishnaswamy is currently working as Professor at Coimbatore Institute of Technology, Coimbatore, India. He has received his B.E in Mechanical Engineering from Coimbatore Institute of Technology, M.E in Production Engineering from PSG College of Technology and Ph.D in Production Engineering from Coimbatore Institute of Technology, Coimbatore. He has also published several papers in reputed national and international journals. He has produced 12 PhD candidates and currently guiding 7 research scholars from various fields studying in Anna University, Chennai. He holds 2 Indian Patents in the area of Natural Fiber Reinforced Biocomposites.

      Prior to his carrier in teaching, Dr.Marimuthu Krishnaswamy worked with P.S.G Industrial Institute, Coimbatore in the areas of Conventional / CNC Machine tools Design, Development and Production from April 1986 to June 1998. He was also working as Lecturer in the Department of Production Engineering at Amrita Institute of Technology and Science, Coimbatore between July 1998 and January 2000.

He has made significant contribution in the areas of response surface methodology, sensitivity analysis, colour metallography, wear and corrosion behavior of hardfaced alloys, and development of composite materials.

He has visited several countries like USA, Norway, China, Malaysia, Dubai Singapore, Netherlands, Thailand, South Korea, South Africa, Nepal, Buton and Indonesia.
