CIT – Centre for E-Learning

Established in December 2016 with a grant of β‚Ή48,81,374.00 from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) under the E-Learning Centre for Technical Education (ELCTE) Scheme, the CIT Centre for E-Learning is a cornerstone of modern pedagogical innovation. The centre serves as a high-tech hub for developing digital academic resources that transcend traditional classroom boundaries.

National Recognition & Strategic Activities

CIT’s commitment to digital education has earned it significant national mandates, positioning the institute as a leader in the e-learning landscape:

  • National Resource Centre (NRC): In May 2018, the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, approved CIT as a National Resource Centre.
  • Faculty Development: The centre conducts regular Faculty Development Programmes (FDP) focused on E-Content Design and Development to empower faculty members across all departments with digital creation skills.
  • Content Creation: First-year faculty members are actively involved in developing e-content for various subjects, creating a rich library of video lectures and digital materials to improve student learning outcomes.
