Introduction to UMSLite

University Management System Lite (UMSLite) is a complete integrated University Administration and Management system developed in state of the art three-tier web technology. UMSLite is a powerful Internet and Intranet based application, designed to help the university to provide valuable information to the management, staff, alumni and the students. UMSLite consists of fully independent functional modules each designed to increase the efficiency of the departments in a university and to provide online information.

UMS is developed using object oriented design with the latest GUI tools Visual Basic.Net and ASP.Net technology with SQL Server 2008/2012 as the back end Relational Database Management System (RDBMS).

Genius University Management Lite

Genius University Management System Lite (UMSLite) streamlines data collection, storage & retrieval and the management of records to improve both operational (admission, registration, scheduling, examination and grading) and management tasks (planning, evaluation and decision-making).

UMSLite focuses on storing & processing curriculum data, student data and produce outputs supporting the operational activities. These outputs include student cards, subject descriptions, invoices, schedules and management information.

UMSLite directly integrates with the university’s finance department by effectively managing invoicing, receipting, sponsor management and other billing features.

  • Student Informations

Sponsor Management

Sponsors are individuals or organisations they will fund the students for payment of academic fees and other expenses. UMSLite offers flexibility to collect funds from sponsors and provide various flexible options to allocate funds to student dues and for personal expenses.  This sponsor amount can be directly allocated against the student dues or can be paid to the student through student accounting.

Course Management / Study Plan Management

To support the development of academic programs and scheduling of subjects the university has to maintain a lot of data on each academic subject. This system provides the colleges with the maintenance of a subject characteristic database.

This system supports the co-ordination of the approved subjects with the lecturer’s and classrooms (and other resources) available. This system also helps the students to register the appropriate subjects for each program and check for the prerequisite for that subject. Student can enroll for the subject of their choice also called as student study plan.

Hostel Management System

Hostel Management system provides the functionality for managing the student hostel. Hostel module is linked with the Student Management System for extracting the student information for Hostel Allocation.

♦   Provision for creating various room types (Single / double/ Dormitory).
♦   Room allotment to the student.
♦   Student leave registers.
♦   Monitoring Visitors and Guest register.
♦   Student Monthly bill calculation.
♦   Provision for monitoring the student hostel activities.
♦   Transfer of rooms.
♦   Room evacuation.

Staff Portal

UMSLite Staff Portal provides a host of features that would minimize the everyday workload of the teaching and non-teaching staff in the university.

Functional Features

♦    Staff can access their personal profile and academic information.

♦    Staff can view all the classes they are assigned and marks the Attendance and Assessment right from the portal.

♦    Staff can add/edit their academic information, awards, conferences attended, etc.

♦    Staff can apply for Leave through the Leave module. They can view their Leave entitlement for all leave types and also the balance days.

♦    Staff can create and send notes and generate discussions to groups of students assigned to them.

Business Intelligence Analysis System
