National Commission for Women – Nationwide Competition
Description:
National commission for women had instructed colleges across the nation to conduct a nationwide competition to create awareness about the legal rights of women. The competition included topics relating to 13 laws.
Two Seminars on ‘Constitution and Laws on Women’s Rights and Empowerment’ were organised for the First Year B.E. / B.Tech. students to create awareness on the 13 laws on legal rights for women. A question bank was prepared by the Women Empowerment Cell (with expert suggestions) of Coimbatore Institute of Technology on the provisions of the Constitution and laws relating to women’s rights and empowerment given in the NCW website. The competition was conducted on 21st November, 2017. The completed document was submitted online on 29th November, 2017.
