N-LIST

national-library
  • N-LIST (National Library and Information Services Infrastructure for Scholarly Content), an Initiative of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) under the National Mission on Education (NME) through ICT being jointly executed by the UGC-INFONET Digital Library Consortium, INFLIBNET Centre and the INDEST-AICTE Consortium, IIT Delhi. The N-LIST project provides access to e-resources (e-journals and e-books)

NPTEL Courses

  • IITs and IISc Bangalore have developed a curriculum based video and web courses as a collaborative project under the head NPTEL (National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning). It includes web courses in engineering / science and humanities. Each course contains materials that can be covered in depth in 40 or more lecture hours. In addition, video courses have been developed, with each course comprising of approximately 40 or more one-hour lectures.

Institutional Repository

  • CIT Library has planned to implement the Institutional Repository for the benefit of staff and students. Institutional Repository is a digital archive of an intellectual product created by the staff and students of an individual institution so as to make it available and accessible by the end users within the institution in e- form. The Objectives to implement IR in the Library:
  • To collect, store and organize information and knowledge resources in digital form To strengthen scholarly communication and collaboration between research, project and educational communities To contribute the lifelong learning opportunities To promote economic and efficient delivery of Information in e- form To control considerable investments in computing / communications infrastructure.
  • Staff and students can access the e-books, lecturer notes, regular course materials and pre and post print articles published by the faculty in national / international journals, previous year question papers, syllabus, magazines, newsletters and calendars through intranet.
  • IR will help the students/staff to access and collect above resources/materials through intranet from anywhere within the campus and it will definitely enhances the research, project and educational activities of our college.
