Agnipath Scheme -Fire-Path Scheme 2022
♦ It is to inform you that Agnipath Scheme (Fire-Path Scheme) is a new scheme introduced by the Government of India on 14 June 2022, for recruitment of soldiers below the rank of commissioned officers into the three services of the armed forces. The Agnipath Scheme will be the only route for recruitment into the military. Personnel recruited under this system are to be called Agniveers (Fire-Brave), which will be a new military rank. The scheme is scheduled to be implemented from September 2022.
♦ Under the Agnipath scheme, 45,000 to 50,000 soldiers will be recruited annually, and most will leave the service in just 4 years. Of the total annual recruits, only 25% will be allowed to continue for another 15 years under permanent commission.

CYBER SECURITY HACKATHON
08 – 16 April, 2022
A national level cyber security Hackathon is being organized by Coimbatore Institute of Technology – Teaching Learning Center – Center of Excellence in Cyber Security.
Hackathon is aimed at initiating the young cyber warriors of the country, by creating an opportunity to come together and work on a collaborative approach to solve specific problems. The Hackathon will help identify the best skilled individuals who can later be utilized by various agencies for addressing cyber security problems.
There are two categories of participants:
I) Students of all branches/ disciplines
II) Working professionals including Faculty, Armed Forces, Police personnel.

Siragugal Scholarship – 2022
The Journey of Siragugal Trust, an officially recognized non-profitable organization began from the classrooms of Coimbatore Institute of Technology. Engineering graduates who passed out from CIT in the year 2017 have now taken a stand to raise their voice against social issues which includes supporting student’s educational needs.
Objective of Siragugal Scholarship is to fund the economically backward students who are struggling to manage their academic expenses. Siragugal Trust selects the students who are in need of the scholarship based on certain criteria in their first year and takes care of their academic expenses up to their final semester.
