Department of Mathematics

The Department of Mathematics was established in the year 1956, the year of establishment of the Institute. The department caters to the mathematical needs of the institute namely, it offers course for all the UG, PG and research programs, in the field of mathematics, science and humanities. The department holds research program leading to Ph.D in Mathematical Sciences, Engineering Sciences and Applied Sciences. It has conducted two international conferences during 1971 and 1981 and two one day workshops. The department completed one UGC funded research project. Four fully recognized supervisors specialized in Reliability, Topology and Queueing theory for conducting research programmes are available. Papers published in the National/International Journals collectively by the department runs 45 in number. At present 15 scholars are pursuing their research under the guidance of our faculty members.

♦ Imbibe the students with world class academic and innovative research ideas.
