Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was started in the year 1968 during which the undergraduate programme was introduced. Currently the department offers one undergraduate, two post graduate and research programmes. The UG programme has sanctioned strength of 120 students with both government aided and self-supporting streams. Both the PG programmes are self-supporting. The department has dynamic and vibrant faculty specialized in various fields of Electronics and Communication Engineering with proven research experience in niche areas. The faculty members of the department have undertaken prestigious projects from leading agencies such as AICTE ( under MODROBS/RPS) and UGC.

The Curriculum is continuously updated based on outcome based education philosophy, with the objective of meeting the current needs of the industry and society. The curriculum ensures that strong foundation in the core domain is laid in the students, paving the way for employment in prestigious multi-national companies and organizations in Core sector.

The DSP, VLSI, RF & Communications laboratories are equipped with state-of- the-art equipment. The practical courses deliver hands-on experience to students based on the changing needs of society.

The department prides in providing well balanced tutor-ward relationship, active alumni network, excellent placement opportunities to students.
