ON

“SIGNALS, TRANSFORMS AND APPLICATIONS”

DURING 17^TH AND 18^TH SEPTEMBER, 2009

COIMBATORE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, COIMBATORE-14 

            The workshop was successfully inaugurated by the chief guest Dr.C.P.Ravikumar, Technical director for University Relations, Texas Instruments, India on 17^th September, 2009. About 29 participants from engineering colleges in around Coimbatore, 12 final year students of CIT registered and attended the workshop.

            The Speaker for the morning session on 17^th September, 2009 was Dr.C.P.Ravikumar, Technical director for University Relations, Texas Instruments, India on topic “Evaluation of VLSI Digital Signal Processing Architectures”. The Speaker for the afternoon session on 17^th September, 2009  was Mr.Tabrez Khan, The Math works, Bangalore on topic “MATLAB and Simulink for Engineering Education and Demonstration”.

            The Speaker for the morning first session on 18^th September, 2009 was Dr.K.P.Soman, Professor and Head, Amrita University, Coimbatore on topic “Daubechies-Lagaries Algorithm for exact calculation of wavelet function and its Implementation in EXcel”. The Speaker for the morning second session on 18^th September, 2009 was Mr.Prashant Zonar, Customer support engineer, Cranes Software, Bangalore on topic “Workshop on Real Time Processing using TI-DSP development Tools and Demonstration”. The Speaker for the afternoon session on 18^th September, 2009 was Dr.Ashok rao, Former Head and Network Project, CEDT, IISc, Bangalore on topic “Image data compression in Transform domain”.

            The workshop ended with the valedictory function with chief guest Dr.Ashok Rao.
