ABOUT THE COLLEGE

Coimbatore Institute of Technology is a Government Aided Autonomous Institution started in the year 1956, by late  Shri. V. Rangaswamy Naidu. The Institution has grown from strength to strength and has become a center for academic and Research excellence in various disciplines of Engineering and Technology. The Institute is affiliated to Anna University, Coimbatore and situated in a campus area of about 25 hectares on the Chennai Cochin (NH 47) highway. C.I.T. is about 7 Kilometers from Coimbatore Railway Junction and 3 Kilometers from   Coimbatore Airport. 

Industry – Institute Partnership Cell

Industry – Institute Partnership Cell functioning in CIT acts as liaison center between industries and various departments of our institute to promote consultancy, R&D projects and training. This cell is sponsored by All India Council for Technical Education.

IETE

The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) is India's leading recognised professional society devoted to the advancement of Science and Technology of Electronics, Telecommunication & IT. Government of India has recognised IETE as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) and also notified as an educational Institution of national eminence. The objective of IETE is to focus on advancing electro-technology.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

The National Workshop on Mobile and Wireless Networks is devoted to deeper understanding in the issues related with Mobile Ad hoc Networks, Wireless Sensor Networks, and Modeling of Wireless Networks.

The goal of this workshop is to bring together researchers and practitioners from academia and industry to focus on advanced Wireless and Mobile computing concepts and establishing new collaborations in these areas.

RESOURCE PERSONS

Eminent Researchers from reputed Academic and Research Institutions and practicing engineers from leading industries. 

ELIGIBILITY

The participants shall be teachers from the engineering colleges, Research Scholars, PG Students and Professionals from industries.

SELECTION

The total number of participant is restricted to 60. The selected candidate will be intimated by e-mail or post.

A limited accommodation is available at the college campus guest house at the cost of    Rs. 25.00 per head.
