Microsoft Technologies

A one day Faculty Development Programme on “MICROSOFT TECHNOLOGIES” was conducted at Coimbatore Institute of Technology on 8th April, 2009. This FDP was jointly organized by Department of CSE and IT, C.I.T., Coimbatore and Microsoft, India, with a view to enhance the skill set in various technologies related to Microsoft. More than 150 Faculty members and Research Scholars from various Engineering Institutions in and around Tamilnadu, India participated in the FDP.

The inaugural function started at 9.30 A.M in the main block Conference hall. Mr. Dhaval Faria consultant to Microsoft India, Academic Alliance, was the Chief Guest for the function. In his inaugural address, the chief guest shared his views about the current scenario of the IT field and elaborated the opportunities available for IT engineers in the area of scripting in Microsoft technologies. During the workshop Mr. Dhaval Faria  gave a live demonstration on .net, SQL Server, Mobile Application Development and cited various examples for an in depth understanding for the participants.

Mr.A.N.Senthilvel, Organizing Secretary, Senior Grade Lecturer Department of CSE and IT welcomed the gathering and delivered a brief overview of the workshop. Dr.R.PRABHAKAR, Principal of Coimbatore Institute of Technology presided over the function and highlighted the marvels of Microsoft technologies in the field of Information Technology. The certificate of participation was handed over to the participants.   Prof.K.S.Palanisamy, Professor of CSE and IT Department proposed the vote of thanks.
