About us

    Advanced Integrated Manufacturing and Management Research Group (AIMMRG) has research interest in interdisciplinary research areas, working across streams of engineering, health care and business management. The research group is led by a professional team of engineers and academicians who are producing innovative solutions in practice. AIMMRG Group is centred on the idea of helping people to communicate ideas and issues in various research fields through working groups. The AIMMRG group was started in August 2010 under the group head of Dr.Rajesh Ranganathan at Coimbatore Institute of Technology. This group's functionality is based upon the latest trends focused on engineering and technology.
    The research group's projects are mainly the applied research / projects that hold a potential industrial application.  The research activities within this group focuses upon Manufacturing Techniques & Systems, Design of heath care items, Lean and Agile Manufacturing,  development and analysis of internal & external prosthesis,  Business Process re-engineering etc. These activities include newly developed directions towards newest investigated technologies, such as Rapid Manufacturing, e-Manufacturing, RFID, Health care Management etc. The emerging and development of such technologies are the fundamental stone for the country's economical development.
    Vision of the group is achieved by our professional expertise, application of innovative and advanced technologies, collaboration with industrial and academic partners World-wide. In short, AIMMRG is focused to bridge the gap between academics and industry, thereby enhancing consultancy capabilities.
